At Cocoa Cartel we believe that we only have one planet and although there are many things that are out of our control, one of the things we can do is not only recycle our recyclables but also put our plastic milk and cream bottles to good use. We have teamed up with a local company called Port Plastics and Tooling who collect our plastic bottles and process them, turning them into bollards for council use, each bollard uses 240 milk bottles!
Port plastics and tooling are committed to minimising their environmental footprint as much as possible. They melt down and re-granulise all their scrap plastic, turning scraps into new products.
Port Plastics works closely with customers and suppliers to utilize recycled materials. They use re-ground material that they collect here, or can use resin that is compounded from recycled plastics. Land fill & ocean-bound plastics, and post-consumer plastics. By using these renewable and recycled plastics, they are helping reduce the environmental footprint for ourselves, our community, and our planet.
